Graham Streusel Cake
from: a very old photocopy of a General Mills recipe
ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 28 squares)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon (heaping)
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1 package yellow cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- vanilla glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of water (until you get the consistency you want)
process
- preheat oven to 350°F
- grease 13x9x2in pan
- make the crumb mixture and and cake batter seperately
- crumb mixture: mix crumbs, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter; set aside
- cake batter: beat cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs in a mixer
- pour about 2 1/3 cups of the cake batter into the pan
- sprinkle on about 2 cups of the crumb mixture
- pour the rest of the cake batter
- sprinkle on the rest of the crumb mixure
- bake 45-50 minutes, until the center of the cake springs back when touched
- let the cake cool, drizzle with vanilla glaze
